Get the EV Aussie app
Add EV Aussie to your Home Screen and it opens like an app: full screen, fast, and the main pages and tools still work without a signal, handy at a charger in a car park basement or out in the country.
You’re using the installed app. Nice one. It updates itself whenever you’re online.
iPhone and iPad
- Open evaussie.com.au in Safari.
- Tap the Share button at the bottom (or top on iPad).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
On iOS 16.4 and later you can also do this from Chrome, Edge or Firefox using their Share menu. iPhones don’t show an automatic install prompt.
Android
- Open evaussie.com.au in Chrome.
- Tap Install app if you see it, or tap the ⋮ menu.
- Choose Install app (or Add to Home screen), then Install.
On a computer, use Chrome or Edge: click the install icon at the right of the address bar.
What works offline
- Home, guides, calculator, state incentives, EV prices, compare and used EVs pages are saved on your device when you install or first visit.
- Charger map: the charger locations and network prices from our 17 Oct 2026 snapshot work offline, and you can search by suburb or postcode. Map tiles you’ve already viewed are kept (up to about 200); other areas show a blank map until you’re back online.
- Car photos you’ve viewed are kept (up to about 150).
What needs a connection
- Anything live: charger availability, faults and price changes since our snapshot. Check the network’s own app before you rely on a charger.
- Sending a used EV listing, new map areas and links to other sites.
Good to know
- The app is the website: same content, same privacy. Nothing is tracked, and the saved pages stay on your device. See our privacy page.
- It uses a few megabytes of storage. Your phone may clear it if space runs low, and iPhones can remove saved data from web apps you haven’t opened for a few weeks. It just downloads again next time you’re online.
- To remove it, delete it like any app (press and hold the icon).
